Government of Canada: Harper Government to ban microbeads in personal care products

“As part of the Chemicals Management Plan (CMP) and the announcement of the proposal to add microbeads to the List of Toxic Substances, the Government of Canada wishes to inform you of the publication of a Notice on Saturday, August 1, 2015, in the Canada Gazette, Part I, Vol. 149, No. 31, pursuant to the information gathering provisions of paragraph 71(1)(b) of the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999 (CEPA 1999).

The deadline to respond is October 15, 2015, 5 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time. To determine whether this notice applies to you, please refer to Schedules 1 and 2 of the Notice.”
