Transport Canada – Protective Directives

As per Transport Canada, Protective Directives "are issued under the authority of section 32 of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act, 1992 and are regulated under Part 13 of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations.
A protective direction:
• Takes effect on the date the Minister or a designated person signs it, or at a date set out in the protective direction; and
• Remains in effect until the day at which it is cancelled in writing, or expires on the expiry date set out in it."
